Not everyone can operate a handling truck, a plaform or a mobile crane ! For some of these machines, a certificate of operator safety competency (called CACES in France) is mandatory. Different certificates apply according to the machine category. What does regulation say about pallet stackers ?
Generally speaking, a certificate is only mandatory for rider-seated models. Pedestrian controlled machines, where the operator walks alongside the machine and operates it through a drawbar, do not require a certificate. Many pallet trucks and pallet stackers are pedestrian controlled.
Choosing pedestrian controlled models enables faster adoption and can avoid costly trainings. However, operator’s attention remains a prerequisite for a safe use of the machine.
Our teams are by your side to help you get familiar with your rented machine. Upon delivery, we will present the functionalities of the machine and advise you how to make the best use of it. During the rental period, we will remain at your disposal to answer any question you may have and help in case of a problem.
Should you need it, we can also train your staff to get the CACES.
